Peptides are short chains of amino acids, usually made up of 2 to 50 building blocks, which makes them the small relatives of proteins. In the body they take on key signalling and messenger functions: they bind to specific receptors and can thereby influence, for example, metabolic processes, regeneration or the release of the body's own hormones. It is precisely this targeted mode of action that has made peptides the subject of intensive scientific research for years.
Amino acids are the individual building blocks, peptides are short chains of them, and proteins are very long, complexly folded chains of hundreds of amino acids. Thanks to their compact size, peptides are considerably more stable to handle, can be synthesised precisely and are very easy to characterise in the laboratory. A typical protein powder from a sports shop therefore has nothing in common with our research peptides.
Our range comprises more than 20 different peptides and keeps growing: from classics such as BPC-157, TB500 and GHK-Cu, via Semaglutide, Tirzepatide and Retatrutide, to Epithalon, NAD+, Ipamorelin, CJC-1295, Melanotan-2, PT-141, Selank, Semax, Sermorelin, MOTS-C, KPV, ARA290 and our KLOW80. We offer every peptide as a classic vial with lyophilised powder for reconstitution yourself, and most of them additionally as a pre-filled pen. The pen is pre-dosed, saves you preparing it with sterile water and allows particularly precise, repeatable withdrawal. Vials, in turn, are cheaper per milligram and more flexible in dosing.
The milligram figure describes the amount of lyophilised peptide in the vial. Depending on the peptide we carry several strengths: from 5 mg via 10, 20, 30 and 50 mg up to 100 mg, and for NAD+ even up to 500 mg. Larger vials are cheaper per milligram, smaller ones are suited to testing or short series of experiments. Purity and batch documentation are identical across all strengths.
Every single batch is tested for purity by HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography) and for identity by mass spectrometry. Only batches with a documented purity of at least 99 percent go on sale. The analyses are carried out independently of the manufacturer, so we do not have to rely on their figures but have our own measurements on file.
The COA (Certificate of Analysis) documents, for your specific batch, the measured purity, the molecular weight confirmed by mass spectrometry, the batch number and the analysis date, among other things. Two values matter most: the HPLC purity in percent and the agreement between the measured mass and the theoretical mass of the peptide. You will find the matching COA for every product available to download.
We work exclusively with synthesis laboratories that have been vetted over many years and manufacture to documented quality standards. Every delivery is checked again on receipt before it is transferred to our refrigerated warehouse. On request, we provide the complete documentation chain for every batch, from synthesis to shipping.
Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptides are generally stable for 24 months and longer when stored correctly, i.e. cool, dry and protected from light. You will find the manufacturing and analysis date on the label and in the COA. After reconstitution, the solution should be kept refrigerated and, depending on the peptide, used within a few weeks.
Unopened, lyophilised vials are best stored at 2 to 8 °C in the refrigerator, or for long-term storage in the freezer at -20 °C, always dry and protected from light. After reconstitution, the solution always belongs in the refrigerator and should not be frozen again. Repeated thawing and freezing damages the peptide structure and distorts results.
Bring the vial and solvent to room temperature, disinfect the septum with an alcohol swab and slowly inject the sterile water along the inner wall of the vial, never directly onto the powder. Then gently roll the vial between your fingers until everything has dissolved. Do not shake! You will find detailed illustrated instructions in our reconstitution guides.
The standard is bacteriostatic water (sterile water with 0.9 percent benzyl alcohol), because it preserves the solution for several weeks. For short-term use within a few days, sterile water for injection is also suitable. Tap water or boiled water are unsuitable for laboratory purposes, as they are neither sterile nor pH-stable.
A correctly reconstituted peptide solution is clear and colourless. Cloudiness or flaking indicates injecting too quickly, solvent that is too warm or a damaged peptide. In that case, stop using the solution and contact our support via your customer dashboard with the batch number and a photo. We will review the case and replace affected vials without fuss.
